Bio
Brian Seeders is an undergraduate at Case Western Reserve University and is currently pursuing a B.S. in Computer Science and a minor in Psychology. He is currently expected to graduate December 2010.
Brian currently works as a Developer Fellow at The Qube Lab where he, along with four other fellows, prototypes and develops small-scale applications, primarily web-based, using current technologies at low-cost for companies that otherwise would not be able to due to the higher costs associated with the research and development of applications using newer technologies.
Brian worked for Student Affairs IT Operations Group, and has since May 2007 (except for a three month period at the end of 2008 when he worked for ITS), where he assists in everyday operations. This includes maintenance of hardware (computer systems, printers, scanners, etc), maintenance of software (namely web programming in C#/ASP.NET) and phone and in-person support.
Brian is the operator of Case Mobile, a site providing Case services for mobile phones, such as shuttle tracking and laundry information. He also started OpenCase, an initiative pushing for more open data standards and interoperability at Case. OpenCase also provides various data-related services.
Some of Brian’s professional interests are: Information storage and processing, Data portability, Web Development, Distributed/Cloud computing, Algorithms and Analysis, Virtualization Technologies, Mobile Platforms, System Administration, and Optimization and Efficiency.
